Debra grew up in Antigonish, Nova Scotia where she first learned to bake by watching and helping her Mother and Grandmothers. She has always had a love for baking and enjoys the process of creating masterpieces from cake and being able to be a small part of people’s celebrations through cake.

She went to Seneca College, in Toronto, for Fashion Merchandising, and lived there for 7 years. This education let her use her creative side in several buying, merchandising, and retail jobs that she's had over the years, but she still felt the need for more creativity. So when she moved back to Nova Scotia, she began baking more and took a few cake decorating classes thinking it would just be a past time, but decided to continue to develop her skills as a cake decorator and start her own home based business in 2009.

 

Debra continues to grow this part-time business and is very thankful for all the wonderful customers over the years that have helped her to fine tune her decorating skills with challenges and exciting projects.
